“How much time he gains who does not look to see what his neighbor says or does or thinks, but only at what he does himself.” ―Marcus Aurelius
The amazing Malayali psyche is on the show with interesting abuse and observations in Sarahah. 🙂
There is something very enlightening I read a while ago I think it was from the book Collapse ( by Jared Diamond), not able to find the paragraph and I do not have the book with me now. He discusses in the book how futile it is for people to spend their time discussing others than about their own lives and ideas and describe the world itself as they see it. Things you say to a person in anger is one thing and things people talk about you behind your back is cowardice. The point is to hear it and not be affected by it 🙂.
It matters more for a woman I presume when one is called names but the idea is to claim the words which have negative connotations and normalize it just like how African Americans normalized the word “nigger” by claiming it.
