Gomez – "Ain’t No Sunshine"

Summer is a heart beat away, cant wait for the British music festivals. The last festival I went to was the one in Scotland in 2010, god feels like centuries ago.
Well this Gomez song has to be in my juke box because this is one band whose songs I can never get tired off and Bens vocals is one of the best I feel to my taste. I remember watching them live in 2007 and falling in love with this band and Bens voice and from then on I have been a die hard fan. An underrated band in the mainstream but darn good bunch of musicians and people who nail live shows are good I feel because there is no synthesised music there, but its all raw talent.
Oh and I was wondering when I met this boy Anu in Delhi, whom he reminded me off, and it is Ben indeed. Hah! Mystery solved. I was wondering for days where I have seen this face
Any way here is Gomez for you..(its a cover of Bill Withers classic song from the 70s) but do check out their songs, they are worth being in the playlist and they grow on you every time you hear them. And this song is special as this was the song that was sung for me by a boy for the first time πŸ™‚ a long long time ago, a decade ago seems like, the acoustic guitar, the sun, the confused shy me, the euphoria of music….:) Oh darn! how I wish I was a phone person then or had a smart phone to capture those moments.

So here it is!

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away
Wonder this time where she’s gone
Wonder if she’s gone to stay
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away
And I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know,Β
Hey, I oughtta leave young thing alone
But ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
Only darkness every day
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
