Records were before CDs, before cassatttes. When I walk around in Shoreditch where I live now, I see all those retro record shops and it makes me want to own a record player just like the one my parents had. Atticus loved music and beyond all he loved his wife, his childhood sweet heart, my mother, who sang for him like a cuckoo.
I have got love for you if you were born in the 80s the 80s! Goes the Calvin Harris track!
I was born just three months before the golden 80s dawned upon the world and the world changed to be something which it was never before. Well I was born, I claim, as a prologue to the awesomeness that was to arrive with the 80s. Thats right, even the cult Gunda movie was made because I was born I say.
But this 70s track has been in my all time favorite list, I have danced to this song a lot, in the shower, whilst cooking, whilst running, whilst sketching and painting, it fills me with my childhood memories of the music obsessed family and my growing up times. Thanks to my parents who were so much into music that they say, the only way I would sit idle when i was a toddler, was when they played their record collection for me. I miss that record player. The one they got surrendering their leaves when they were in their first job. The precious treat they got for themselves.
So here is a track for the weekend from the 70s. Hot hot singing – Yo Sexy thing by Hot chocolate.
