***Brick Lane

I walked by the lanes, empty handed in the dark
All those echoes of cynical laughter in misery
You played a sad rhythm jumping over the puddles
All those red bricks stared at us in pain
I mellowed at the young blood in the cold streets
All those coke which they snorted in glee
You vanished like a vampire, but lingered in the air
All those heart prints you imprinted in blood
I wept for how touched our lives had become
All those strange emotions I felt in solitude
You, me the two of us is an ancient myth
All of Brick lane mused aloud in unison
I waited for those distant footsteps
All those dreams of rain and love
You strolled calmly serene and peaceful
All that warmth you showered on me in love
I turned back and gazed into vast emptiness
All of the brick lane stood alone in you…
